Recently I was explaining the broad scope of engineering, and the many careers that might follow after obtaining a college degree, to a group of interested students and parents and I asked the following question, "How many know who 'A-Rod' is?" 

Welcome back for the start of the 2007/2008 academic year with my very best wishes for success to members of the incoming class of 2011. I understand many of the feelings of an incoming student; I too, am a freshman.
