100_16721.jpgResistance, in particular the kind that is in opposition to motion, may or may not be beneficial.  All motion resistance involves one object's atoms bumping against another object's atoms and exchanging kinetic energy, which on a microscopic level is heat.

For example, any good scout can start a fire by rubbing two sticks together, causing the surface wood molecules to vibrate faster and faster until their frenzied dance leads to combustion with oxygen.

Unfortunately, what the media fails to convey to the public is that for the past decade America's infrastructure has been failing on many levels.
Tissue engineering, also known as regenerative medicine, is a multi disciplinary field that is rapidly growing.  The fundamental premise of this technology is to replace damaged or diseased tissue within a patient's body with a functional equivalent.  Three important considerations must be made in order to successfully accomplish this.
